Düsseldorf

Düsseldorf is our home town, the headquarters of Contacts & Management GmbH.

Düsseldorf lies on the Rhine river. It is the capital of the state of Northrhine-Westfalia. It is the

seventh largest city in Germany and yet it only has about 600,000 inhabitants..

Düsseldorf is a very international city. While it is relatively small it has very many international

companies operating within its city limits. Düsseldorf for instance has the largest Japanese

community in mainland Europe with about 13,000 Japanese living in Düsseldorf. But other nations

are also well represented here.

Düsseldorf is served by an international airport. One of the charming things about Düsseldorf is, that

it is so compact. It is also known as the 15-minute city because you can go almost anywhere in

Düsseldorf within 15 minutes, including from the airport to the center of town.

Düsseldorf is known for its fashion industry, the telecommunications industry and certainly also for

consulting services including executive search.

As a recruitment agency in Düsseldorf, we cater to companies coming from overseas and wanting to

establish a business presence in Germany. We therefore help in finding the right people to help you

grow your company and your sales in Germany. As a German headhunting company we are very

familiar with all the ins and outs of German business. At the same time we can offer English service,

thereby bridging the gap between German culture and that of other nations.

Köln / Cologne

Cologne is the fourth largest city in Germany with a population of just over 1 million and is only a few

kilometers away from Düsseldorf. It is a historic city, tracing its roots back to Roman times when it

was founded. It is part of the Rhine-Ruhr metropolitan area which boasts a total population of over

11 million, making it one of the larger population centers.

The largest employer in Cologne is Ford Motor Company. Cologne is also home to many large media

companies (WDR, RTL, N-TV) together with clusters of media, arts and communications agencies and

TV production studios. Another large industry based in Cologne is the insurance industry. Insurance

companies like Central, DEVK, DKV, Generali Deutschland, Gothaer, HDI Gerling and national

headquarters of AXA Insurance and Zurich Financial Services call Cologne their home.

As a German recruitment company based in Düsseldorf, Cologne is very convenient. We have often

placed candidates in Cologne and can help you find the right candidates you need for your business.

Stuttgart

Stuttgart is the capital and largest city of the state of Baden-Württemberg in southwest Germany.

The sixth-largest city in Germany, Stuttgart has a population of 600,068. The city lies at the centre of

a densely populated area, surrounded by a ring of smaller towns. This area called Stuttgart Region

has a population of 2.7 million. While Stuttgart is thought of as an industrial town, many visitors are

surprised by how much green there is in the city. Since the city is built in a valley and the surrounding

hills it can be quite steep at times.

Luckily for us, Stuttgart is connected to Düsseldorf through a high speed rail network, so that getting

to Stuttgart is quick and easy, making it easy for us to recruit people in Stuttgart for our clients.

Stuttgart is known as being the cradle of the automobile and even today the automotive industry

heavily influences the city. As a German recruitment agency we of course have experience in the

automotive industry, having found key account managers, program managers and others for

international tier one suppliers.

München / Munich

Munich is the third largest city in Germany, after Berlin and Hamburg, with a population of around

1.5 million. The Munich Metropolitan Region is home to 5.8 million people. Munich is of course

famous for its beer and for the Oktoberfest. It is certainly one of Germany’s favorite cities to live and

work in. This has to do with its geography, being close to the mountains, only a few hour’s drive away

from northern Italy and due to the beautiful lakes in the region.

Munich is known for several large companies such as BMW and Siemens but also has many mid-sized

companies as well. For many years Munich was a hub for the IT, semiconductor and electronics

industries in Germany. To a certain degree this has now moved to Berlin (particularly IT) but Munich

is still home to such companies as Oracle, Microsoft, Infineon and many others. Munich also has a

large media presence with companies like Burda, Random House, Pro7-Sat1 and others being

present.

Recruiting for Munich is easy on the one hand because it is a city everyone wants to live in, but on

the other hand difficult because as a consequence prices for apartments are high, and living quarters

are difficult to get. This causes salaries to be higher in the Munich region as well.

Munich is well connected both by high speed rail and by an international airport. For us, Munich is

only an hour away so that recruitment in Munich is no problem for us. Getting to Munich is

sometimes faster than getting to the other side of the Ruhr area! We have often filled positions in

Munich and southern Germany simply because this is an economic hot spot for Germany.
